Middlesex County, New Jersey in North-Central New Jersey is, in many ways, the most central part of the Garden State. It is the second-most populated county in the state, and, with its train stations and easy access to the New Jersey Turnpike is considered part of the New York City metroplex area, but is also somewhat of a gateway, not only the rest of New Jersey but the rest of the northeastern seaboard.
Like many areas near New York City, it can be tempting to lump Middlesex County into New York, but the area is full of industry, particularly the healthcare industry. It is home to Middlesex County College, Rutgers University’s main New Brunswick Campus, the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Princeton University’s Forrestal Campus, Devry University, the John F. Kennedy Medical Center, the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, two Raritan Bay Medical Centers, St. Peter’s University Hospital, and the University Medical Center of Princeton. It is also home to major employers, including some of the nation’s best-known pharmaceutical companies including Bristol-Myers Squibb and Johnson & Johnson, as well as several other major employers. All of this business means that, in many ways, the economic health of the state depends on the economic health of Middlesex County, and it is critical that if a business, even a small business, in the area suffers from flood or water damage, that they receive prompt, attentive, and effective service, so they can get back in business.
